Amicable Dispute Resolution

National policy on the development of the justice system aims to significantly increase the use of amicable settlement methods. Partners at Sesame Avocats are not only following this trend but are convinced of their relevance and effectiveness in many cases.

Anne-Carine has been trained for ten years to amicable dispute resolution through the collaborative process, as well as mediation, and interest-based negotiation method from Harvard. She now negotiates nearly 80% of her cases.

Barbara and Sébastien have also been trained to the amicable dispute resolution through the collaborative process since 2017.

This gives them particular expertise in helping their clients to resolve their disputes using negotiated solutions based on win-win agreements, which guarantee their long-term duration, either through negotiations between lawyers using a collaborative method, or as part of a collaborative process or mediation, or even a participatory procedure, depending on the requirements and needs of the case.

Naturally, if this is not possible, the legal route remains open and can be used to the full, but as a potential means of bringing the other party to the negotiation table, where appropriate, bearing in mind that, as the French saying goes, ’a good transaction is always better than a bad trial’!
